who are Cunucus?
Cunucus, native to the island of Aruba, are extremely intelligent, loyal, athletic, and loving.
Cunucus make outstanding family dogs! It is believed that these pups date back to the 16th century and are descendants of the Iberian Hounds that Portuguese slave traders brought to the island.
With great athletic prowess, the Cunucu requires significant exercise. A bored Cunucu will be bad news for all parties involved. It is suggested that your pup receive at least an hour of exercise per day.
Cunucus are smart and respond quite well to basic training! Do yourselves and your dog a favor and start training early. It is one of the absolute best things you can do.
The breed is remarkable at adapting to different climates; however, if your Cunucu is experiencing cold weather for the first time, make sure to get him or her a coat, so that your pup can slowly ease into life away from the beach!
